Palestine is an important place for birds, as it is located on a major migratory route for different species of birds to and from Africa, Europe and Asia. The most common routes are those of the Jordan Valley, Jericho, and Jerusalem Wilderness. Palestine’s environment offers various habitats for the variety of birds some of which are residents, and others migrants.
Siraj Center with the Environmental Education Center, will organize a special activity for this season, a visit to the Environmental Education center to learn more about the Palestinian natural diversity of flora and fauna by visiting the center’s museum. If we were lucky that day we will have the chance to observe the process of ringing birds.
Our hike will start from “Al Makhroor” towards Battir- home to a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Through the way we will be taken by the beauty of the flora and fauna. Few birds and plants can be spotted during the hike.
