The Palestinian Tourism Ministry has set up a task force to best prepare for the return of tourism to the region and to shape the future of the industry in a post-COVID-19 world. The recovery strategy aims to prepare Palestine for reopening by restoring confidence in the tourism industry for local and international markets, developing new health protocols, upskilling employees, homestay families, and guides to be ready for the “new normal”, equipping tourism facilities to guarantee a high standard of hygiene and above all promoting Palestine as a safe travel destination.
Siraj and The Palestinian Heritage Trail will use the Palestinian Tourism ministry health protocols (www.jahzeen.ps ) to train the local community and the guides in the correct procedures and protocols when welcoming the tourists. Training will commence between January- March 2021 for several local communities and individual guides who plan to receive tourists along the Palestinian Heritage Trail.
